Jose Pineiro, a Computer Science graduate is working with Apollo Ship Chandlers since 1988. With prolific experience in the hotel and cruise industry, he is serving all his duties and responsibilities diligently. During his career span, he has successfully managed all aspects of enterprise class software development and technological initiatives, including design, analysis, development, deployment, team building, resource allocation, project management, security and implementation of UNIX, Windows, Web, Cloud and Mobile based applications.
At present, Jose Pineiro is serving the prestigious position of the Director at Apollo Ship Chandlers, Inc. 'The Apollo Group”. He joined the Apollo group as a Software Developer where he developed a new requisition system for cruise ships. Thereafter, he has been promoted to IT manager after completing the requisitions project and 'y2k' conversion. After promotion, he has been assigned to the development and implementation of a new HR system using a new technology.
Later in the year 2004, the HR system was fully implemented on board the ships and shore side which resulted into enhanced productivity and saved a hefty amount in labor, travel arrangements for the crew and freight charges. All crew documents were processed electronically with the new system. After one year, he was promoted to Director of Information & Technology for all Apollo related companies and was charged with the responsibility of the development and maintenance of various software applications, including Order Processing and the HR system.
After working all these years for Apollo group, Jose Pineiro earned an impeccable reputation and confidence in upper team and upper management. Now, he has expertise in utilizing technology solutions to improve corporate efficiency and contributed towards the success and growth of the company.
