Jose Pineiro of Miami is an IT professional expert presently working with The Apollo Group. In the initial stages of his job, he handled the responsibility of developing a new requisition system for cruise ships.

In December 2000, after completing the requisitions project and the year 2000 “y2k” conversion, Jose Pineiro of Miami has been promoted to the position of IT manager and assigned to the development and implementation of a new HR system using a new technology. He considered this position as a challenging one where he had to implement new software technologies and lead a team of developers. At the end of the year 2004, when the HR system was fully implemented on board the ships and shore side, it resulted into improved productivity and saved the company a significant amount of labor costs, travel arrangements for the crew and freight charges as all crew documents were processes electronically with the new system.

Thereafter in 2005, Jose Pineiro of Miami has been promoted to the position of Director of Information and Technology for all Apollo related companies. Moreover, he was also in charge of the development and maintenance of various software applications, including Order Processing and the HR system. On a broader perspective, if we look down to Apollo, it is a small dynamic operation but very complex in terms of logistics and this was the key position to streamline processes and improve efficiencies. After years of hard work and dedication, he earned the respect and confidence of his IT team and upper management.
