Jose
Pineiro is a Computer Science graduate with prolific experience in
the cruise and hotel related services. He is an information
technology professional with over 25 years of experience in all
phases of software development, technology improvements and
operational efficiencies. During his career span, he has successfully
managed all aspects of enterprise class software development and
technological initiatives, including analysis, design, development,
deployment, team building, project management, resource allocation,
security and implementation of UNIX, Windows, Web, Cloud and Mobile
based applications.
At
present, Jose Pineiro is the Director at Apollo Ship Chandlers, Inc.
'The Apollo Group”. Apollo is a privately held company offering
cruise and hotel related services such as food and beverage services,
housekeeping, warehousing logistics, marine staffing and travel fares
to major cruise lines such as Oceania, Regent, Thomson and NCL. He
joined the Apollo group as a Software Developer where he developed a
new requisition system for cruise ships. Then he has been promoted to
IT manager after completing the requisitions project and 'y2k'
conversion. After promotion, he has been assigned to the development
and implementation of a new HR system using a new technology.
Thereafter
in the year 2004, the HR system was fully implemented on board the
ships and shore side which resulted into improved productivity and
saving a hefty amount in labor, travel arrangements for the crew and
freight charges. All crew documents were processed electronically
with the new system. After one year, he was promoted to Director of
Information & Technology for all Apollo related companies and was
charged with the responsibility of the development and maintenance of
various software applications, including Order Processing and the HR
system.
After
working for all these years, Jose Pineiro earned the impeccable
reputation and confidence of my IT team and upper management. Now, he
has hand on experience in utilizing technology solutions to improve
corporate efficiencies and contributed towards the success and growth
of the organization.
