Jose Pineiro is a Miami based software developer who has been working for the Apollo Group since 1988. The Apollo Group is a well-known privately held company headquartered in Miami. They are widely acknowledged for offering excellent cruise and hotel related services such as – warehousing logistics, food and beverage services, housekeeping, marine staffing and travel fares to major cruise lines, like – Oceania, Regent, Thomson, NCL, & many more.
Jose Pineiro of Miami joined Apollo as an IT consultant, a role that came with the responsibility of developing a new requisition system for cruise ships. Around twelve years later, he was promoted to IT Manager and assigned the task of developing and implementing a new HR system using advanced technology. While serving this role, he efficiently led a team of developers and implemented innovative software technologies. Within the time-frame of four years, the HR system was fully implemented onboard the ships and shore side. The technologies developed by Jose helped increase the productivity and saved the company money in travel arrangements for the crew, labor, and freight charges. A year later, he was promoted to the position of “Director of Information & Technology” for all Apollo related companies.
